Black Banners is a single-player game for Android, made by Joren Goossens. This page explains what the game does with information about you. In short: nothing leaves your device unless you send it yourself.
What the game keeps, and where
- Your saved games and settings are stored on your device only. If Android's backup is switched on for your phone, Android may include them in your own device backup with Google, as it does for other apps.
- An error log of the last 50 problems the game ran into (an error message, the screen, the game day, the time), so that you can report a problem. It stays on your device.
What the game does not do
- It has no accounts and asks for no name, e-mail address or other personal details (the name you give your character stays in your save).
- It shows no ads and contains no analytics or tracking.
- It makes no network connections of its own and asks for no permissions such as location, contacts, camera or microphone.
- It does not sell or share any information, because it collects none.
Reporting a problem, exporting a save
Settings > Report a problem, and Settings > Export the save, open Android's share sheet with the error log or the save as text. A problem report also names the game's version, your device model, its Android and browser-engine version (the "user agent") and its screen size, so that the problem can be reproduced. You choose whether to send it and to whom (for example by e-mail). If you send it to the developer, it is used only to find and fix the problem, and deleted when no longer needed.
Children
The game is not aimed at children under 13 and collects no information from anyone.
Changes
If the game ever changes what it does with information (for example if optional in-app purchases are added, which Google Play would handle), this page will be updated first, with a new date above.
